BVN Verification Updates

Due to regulatory requirements as well as securing Originate against fraudsters, the Customer Signup flow on the Originate platform has been updated to strengthen the BVN verification process.

​BVN Verification​

Customers will be required to enter details about their BVN to be matched with the corresponding details on the BVN database. The details required are

• BVN

• Last 4 Digits of the Phone Number registered with the BVN

• DOB registered with the BVN.

If the details are matched, the customer will be able to proceed to sign up while non-matches will display an error message and the customer is not allowed to proceed with their application.
