MBS<>Decide
Below are the steps a Merchant can follow to integrate with MBS.
Step 1: Configure your MBS Credentials into Decide
For users with an active MBS account, they will be required to input their MBS API credentials to successfully integrate MBS with Decide.
Log in to your Decide account.
Navigate to the "Apps" section and input the details as received from MBS (an email request to MBS might be required to get the API credentials).
Step 2: Configure your Spool Widget
Navigate to the “Spool” page and select "Create New App"
Proceed to customize your widget app and click "Next"
Proceed to update the properties of your Spool widget.
Use MBS: When this is enabled, all bank statements will be received via MBS (MyBankStatement). When disabled, bank statements will be uploaded as PDFs.
Auto Analysis: When this is enabled, all bank statements received will be automatically analyzed by Decide. If this option is disabled, bank statements received will not be analyzed instantly. They can be manually triggered for analysis.
Success Message: Input your success alert upon creation.
At this point, the widget app is successfully created. You will be able to copy the link to the widget app (to share with your customers) as well as use the link to view the Spool widget created.
Step 3: Use the Spool Widget
Once the Spool widget has been created. Sharing the link with your customers will enable them share their bank statements seamlessly with your Decide account.
Once the Spool widget link is used, the users will be required to input their email address.
Users can then accept the terms of use and proceed to use the Spool widget.
Users will be required to choose their desired bank. (e.g Stanbic IBTC Bank)
Users will be required to input their:
Account Number: This should link to the bank selected earlier.
Account Name: This is automatically generated and cannot be edited.
Phone Number: This MUST be the phone number linked to that bank account.
Submit the Ticket ID and Password received from their bank
Once the correct Ticket ID and Password is filled, the process is completed and the statement will be fetched from MBS and automatically analyzed by Decide (if auto-analysis is enabled).
Step 4: View the MBS Statements Received
Once the user has successfully completed the journey through the Spool widget, the owner of the Decide account will be able to log in to their Decide Dashboard to view the statements and analysis.
Navigate to the "Spool" section and select the Spool widget created.
View the list of statements available and use the "three dots" to perform actions like "Download" or "Analyze Statement" (in the case that the widget was not set to auto-analysis).
All statements fetched via the Spool widget will be analyzed and the analysis can be viewed from the "Statement Analysis" section.
